The Best Professional Photography

You don’t necessarily have to have the Best Professional Camera equipment to make the best photographs. The most important thing you can have is the eye that helps you to produce emotionally charged images that people remember.

Some photographers own the best cameras money can buy but their images are boring while others use a point and shoot camera and get phenomenal results.

However, professional photographers do need equipment they can rely on. In fact, most professionals have an extra camera body or two as well as back up lenses with them whenever they have a shoot.

As a professional photographer you probably invest more money into higher quality lenses as well as high end camera that you can rely on to produce consistent results day in and day out. But what if you’re considering a career as a professional photographer but don’t know what to buy first? There are some basic pieces of professional photography equipment that you absolutely have to own. Let’s take a look at what they are.

The Professional Photography Equipment That You Have to Have

First, you need to own is a digital SLR camera. Film is now rarely used by professional photographers. SLR (single lens reflex) cameras give you the necessary ability to adjust your settings. You need to be able to manually adjust both the aperture setting and the shutter speed. That is the way you can control the quantity of light hitting your camera’s sensor. Some point and shoot cameras make this possible but most do not.

You should buy the best quality lens that is within your budget. A good lens is usually more important than the camera body it is attached to. Initially you should consider a lens that zooms from wide angle to medium telephoto focal lengths. When you’re photographing faces and going from three dimensions to two dimensions you will find that a medium telephoto lens compresses your images in a very pleasing manner. Wide angle lenses are great for photographing group portraits, panoramas and outdoor scenery.

You will also need a professional quality tripod. It allows you to consistently frame your images and to take blur-free photos over a longer time frame.

Additional photography equipment, such as strobe lights, a light meter, and lens filters will definitely help you produce professional caliber images provided you know how to use them. You’re going to want to have a good camera bag that protects the equipment you’re carrying.

Professional photography equipment is expensive. But it is reliable and can last for decades. However there are some sources where you can buy professional photography equipment at very competitive prices.

Best Camera For Professional Photography

Aspiring Steve McCurry or Ansel Adams? If you love photography, and want to make a career out of it, it takes a lot more than inspiration and an eye for creating fabulous photos. It takes solid training from a professional photography school and the right camera. This article helps prime you to choose the best camera for professional photography career.

Research, Research, Research.Your first step is to learn about everything you can regarding your subject: in this case, the best first camera for your photography career. Of course, take into consideration the top brands and prices, and read up on online reviews, and ask around to formulate the best working framework to start searching for a new camera within. No matter what you do, or how well you know how to bargain shop, this will be an expensive purchase, and thus, the more initial research you can do, the better off you will be. Treat it with the same respect you would offer a new car- after all, it will be the most significant tool of your career – apart from your talent, of course.

Immediate Needs. Next, consider your immediate need for this professional camera. Is it something that you want to play around with, need for photography school, or as your first career camera? Deciding what and how you will be using this camera for will help you consider what kinds of specific features, elements, and capabilities it should require.

Manual or Digital. The first of these camera considerations should, of course, be the most fundamental. Do you want a manual or a digital camera, or a camera that uses both technology? Almost all photography schools and professional positions will require that you have manual capability in your camera in order to understand beyond the automatic nature of our immediate photo-capturing world, how a picture becomes the picture that it does. Digital, on the other hand, allows you to easily and conveniently manipulate and print photos taken. Your best bet, if you can afford it, is always a hybrid manual/digital camera for any professional photography situation.

Options. Aside from these basics in brand, price, features, function, and kind of camera; as a professional photographer (pre- or post-photography school), you should never buy cheap quality or nix options that will be imperative in your ability to shoot the best in photographs. This doesn’t mean you have to have the best and most expensive camera on the market for photography school, or as a novice; but that you should always choose better lens material quality/brands, have protective carrying cases and gear, and include precious extras such as high resolution, high grade light filters, and focus features. The Best Camera Brands For Wedding Photography

This question has been asked since cameras were invented and I have no doubt will continue to be asked for many years to come, ‘Which is the best brand of camera for Wedding Photography?’

I’ll admit right up front that I shoot Canon and would never switch. Why you may ask do I shoot with Canon? Well to be truthful the reason is because I had a Canon film body and a couple of lenses that were over 20 years old, so when I went into Wedding Photography I just stuck with what I knew. I was happy with what I had so I saw no reason to change when I moved into their more professional range.

But if you are just starting out and have no real preference for a particular brand or a serious amount of money tied up in a particular brand then you will probably be asking yourself this very question.

Well my answer is really quite short. Any of the reputable DSLR brands will serve you well. Do not attempt to shoot weddings with anything less than a DSLR, please. You simply don’t get the extras to fully control your camera and the difference between even a cropped sensor and those found in even high end non-DSLR cameras is enormous. A 10MP DSLR would be a much better choice than a 16MP Point and Shoot

Don’t be swayed by a friend’s recommendation or the opinion of someone you think knows about best semi professional camera to buy. Certainly listen to what they have to say but just because it suits them doesn’t mean it will be best for you. When deciding, seek out all the cameras you are thinking of and go and handle them. Play with them and see if they fit well in your hand and are easy to use. It’s a big investment, so take your time and maybe go back and try some again. This is a very personal choice so that is why there is no one answer. The camera has to become part of you and something you will need to use instinctively, so the more comfortable you find it, the easier you will find it to use.

Whilst it is very important to have good quality gear when shooting weddings, your eye and artistic abilities are more important.then the brand of your camera. Whilst you can get away with middle of the range quality equipment, the difference between them and the higher end DSLR is noticeable. You want to portray yourself as a professional, so do so in every aspect of your job.

Megapixels is another topic of discussion when it comes to choosing a camera, but this is a different topic.

So, so long as you invest in a good quality DSLR and just as importantly, good quality lenses, you will have no problems providing high quality photographs. If you want to know more don’t be afraid to ask.
